OUR WORK.

The work we've been doing thus far.

Our Work

At Ubuntu Heart, our mission is to uplift and empower vulnerable women and children in Eastern Congo, guided by the African philosophy of Ubuntu—"I am because we are." Under the leadership of Elvis Katoto, a dedicated documentary filmmaker and humanitarian, we focus on holistic, community-driven initiatives that address immediate needs and foster long-term resilience.

Ubuntu House: A Sanctuary for Healing

Ubuntu House serves as a refuge for young mothers and children affected by conflict and sexual violence. Here, we provide:

  • Safe Shelter: A secure environment where survivors can begin their healing journey.

  • Basic Necessities: Access to food, clothing, and hygiene products.

  • Emotional Support: Counseling and community support to help rebuild lives.
